SCHEMA THERAPY
Developed by Dr Jeffrey Young, Schema Therapy an integrative psychotherapy combining theory and techniques from Attachment Theory, Gestalt Theory, Psychoanalytic Theory and
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Dr Young developed two models, the Schema Model and the Mode Model. These can be used separately but are best used when integrated enabling Therapists to understand and conceptualise each clients problems in a manner which provides a clear map with which to move forward working collaboratively with your client. Mode work enables you to assist your client to break destructive life patterns whilst Schema work enables deep emotional change in our clients.
